Foundations Curriculum (0 - 18 months old)
Designed for lap babies, crawlers, and walkers, the Foundations curriculum incorporates the most current research on early childhood development. It provides a special place for learning and connecting with other caregivers and babies through music and movement.
Class Structure: 16 classes in a semester, 32 classes throughout the "school year" with four different units total; caregiver attends the entire class
Class Length: 45 minutes
What to Expect in Class:
Variety of Music: Musical diversity builds strong neural pathways in a baby's forming brain, which is why each Kindermusik unit contains an array of styles, sounds, and genres.
Instrument Play: Age-appropriate experiences with child-safe instruments enhance a sense of rhythm and steady beat, develops an awareness of the different qualities of sound, and encourages spontaneity and creativity.
Dance: A classroom full of baby and adult pairs dancing together helps a little body develop the muscle strength needed to crawl and walk and helps a little heart fall in love with the sheer joy of moving to music.
Together Time: The one-on-one time a Kindermusik class provides creates special memories with the child. This quality time helps gain new insights into a child's development and nurtures the child's love of music.
Expert Advice: A licensed Kindermusik educator is an expert in early childhood development. At The Wonder Studio, all of the educators are moms as well, so they each bring a unique perspective into their teaching. Educators are clear with sharing the benefits of activities on a child's complete development.
Learning Continues at Home: YOU are your child's best teacher. While your Kindermusik educator will lead and guide you through each class, the learning is able to continue at home with your new knowledge and the home materials that come with each unit.
